This policy explains what information the game Parsecs ("the game") uses, why, and the choices you have. Graceful Games ("we") makes the game. We don't run accounts or servers for the game, and we don't collect your name, email address or other contact details through it.
Your progress (distance records, XP, upgrades, awards earned) and your settings (sound, language, controls, and your ad choices) are saved on your device. We don't receive them. Deleting the game deletes them, unless your device's own backup restores them.
The free versions of Parsecs on the App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore show ads. Ads are provided through Unity LevelPlay (by Unity Technologies, formerly ironSource), which works with ad networks including Unity Ads. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, these partners may collect information from your device, such as:
When you first start a free version, the game asks whether our ad partners may use this information to show you personalized ads. Nothing is requested from an ad network until you answer. If you choose No thanks, our partners are told you have not consented and have opted out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and they show non-personalized ads. You can change your answer at any time in the game's Settings, under Ads. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's own tracking prompt appears only if you choose Allow, and you can change that permission in your device's Settings.
The paid versions (Mac App Store and Steam) contain no ads.
Our partners handle this information under their own privacy policies:
Where you can buy Support Developer, the purchase is handled entirely by the store you bought the game from (Apple, Google or Amazon). We don't receive your payment details. The game only learns whether Support Developer is owned, so it can double your XP without an ad and unlock colours.
Depending on your platform, the game may use the platform's own game service for leaderboards and achievements, such as Apple Game Center on iPhone, iPad and Mac, Google Play Games on Android, or Steam on Windows, Mac and Linux. If you're signed in to that service, your scores and achievements are sent to it under your player name there, and may be visible to other players as that service allows. The platform provider handles this information under its own privacy policy.
Parsecs is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13, and we tell our ad partners so. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, contact us and we'll help.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as to access or delete it, or to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because we don't hold personal information from the game ourselves, the quickest way to use these rights is:
You can also contact us, and we'll help where we can.
If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the effective date above.
